Antique Mason's Covered Vegetable Pattern B 9601, English Ironstone Covered Vegetable with Rust Cobalt Blue Floral Design, Gold Hightlights

Antique Mason's covered vegetable in the pattern B 9601. The vegetable tureen has a scalloped design with a mustard trim and gold highlights on the embossed handles and the embossed sculptured knob on the lid. The pattern also features deep rust colored flowers with a cobalt blue and light mint green colored foliage along the sides of the top of the lid and along the outer rim of the bowl and the sides of the bowl. The trim is a mustard color. Some of the color has worn off ( please see photo 8 ). The worn spots are not chips, rather it is similar to gold wearing off around a rim of a plate. The vibrant colors colors would compliment a chinoiserie decor.
The underside of the base has the Mason's makers mark with the Crown and Patent Ironstone China, England along with the pattern number in gold B 9601. The mark designates the piece after 1891 with the impressed letters and numbers W4S.
The covered vegetable is in very nice vintage condition considering the age and use of the item for over 100 years.
There is a small chip on the underside of the rim on the bowl which is shown in photo 7. It is rather smooth on the top and almost does not really stand out due to the scalloped design of the rim but the chip does show more on the underside. Also on the foot there has been a chip that is smooth also and probably there for years. It does not affect the use of the bowl nor does it affect the stability of bowl sitting on a table
There are a few lightly discolored spots along the bottom and a few small spots on the top but they do not take away from the lovely bowl. I have priced the piece accordingly.
