Vintage Chinese Rosewood Jewelry Box, Made in Shanghai China, Blue Silk Interior, Brass Embellishments and Latches, Jade Medallion,

Beautiful rosewood jewelry box. The Chinese jewelry box has decorative brass embellishments with an engraved brass latch, and hinges. The sides of the box have brass handles with a tiny engraved design. The corners are also covered with a brass plate that has a engraved design.
There is a carved light green jade medallion in the center of the top of the box with four brass embellishments extending from the medallion. The engraved pattern of the brass embellishments appear to be a flower perhaps a lotus flower.
The inside is a royal blue silk with a white floral pattern. There is a compartment that lifts out for more storage underneath. The silk that covers the inside lid has a stain which is shown in photo 5.
The vintage jewelry box is in very nice condition without defects other than the darken spot or stain that is on the silk that lines the lid of the box.
There is a small metal tag that notes that the box is made in Shanghai China. The Shanghai China Jade Carving factory has a long history. They specialized in jewelry and jade carving.
