Ambassador silver plate flatware. The listing is for 12 place settings . The 5 piece place setting includes the dinner knife, salad fork, dinner fork, teaspoon and an individual butter spreader. The set also has several serving utensils including a cold meat fork, casserole spoon, gravy ladle, four large serving tablespoons, two sugar spoons ( one could be used for jam), pickle fork, and ice cream fork. The only piece that I have noticed any wear is the casserole or berry spoon. It has a little loss of silver with tiny pinpoints on the bowl of the spoon ( please see photos).
The Art Deco flatware was introduced into production in 1919 by 1847 Rogers Brothers. The designer was Ernest T. The pattern was in production through 1973, and later produced by International Silver.
This flatware has the 1847 Rogers Brothers hallmark on the back which indicates it is older.
I love this old pattern. It has small scrolls and flowers and is heavy flatware. There is also a small pattern on the back of the flatware.
