Italian Sorrento Bookends, Gargiulo's Lace House Olive Wood Marquetry Bookends, 1930's Italian Handmade Bookends, Book Lover Gift

Beautiful pair of Italian marquetry bookends. The semi circle shaped folding bookend are made from olive wood. The have delicate inlaid marquetry work of birds and flowers in an Art Deco style. They are a rich warm color. The wood as noted is olive wood.
The bookends have a partial tag on the bottom denoting they were from the Gargiulo's Lace House in Sorrento, Italy. I know that the tag is from that wood maker because I have a tobacco box from the same shop with a date of 1930.
These are a wonderful estate find in which the previous owners labeled many of their items they received from their travels or pieces that were passed down from family members.
I love the warm color of the bookends.
