Italian Sorrento Marquetry Tray, Vintage Small Italian Tray Gargiulo's Lace House, Classical Italian Renaissance Marquetry Design,

Italian Sorrento marquetry tray. The small tray has an inlaid design of an urn with Gargoyles and serpents. The wood on the bottom appears to be mahogany and the outer wood around the rim appears to be an olive wood.
The tray is small and was probably used as an accent piece. It has the original tag on the bottom noting the maker Gargiulo's Lace House, Sorrento Italy.
Gargiulo's Lace House was founded in 1863 and is still in operation.
I purchased the tray from an estate with several other pieces of Italian Sorrento pieces from Gargiulo's Lace House. I still have a small tobacco box available. If you are interested in more than one piece please send a request for combined shipping.
The tray is in lovely condition and there does not appear to be any missing pieces of the marquetry.
