Antique handmade pin cushion. The pin cushion appears to be made of a jar top base and the top round top covered in a blue and cream fabric that has darkened over the years. The stuffing or filling feels like it may either be horse hair or some type of straw mixture. There is a small braiding around the base of the cushion where the fabric meets the tin bottom. There is some rust on the tin bottom that may be able to be rubbed out and a little rust on the fabric.
This piece did come from an estate. Most of the items in the estate that I purchased were from the 20's - 30's. I think this pin cushion was probably used for hat pins.
