Linen tablecloth with handmade lace. A beautiful antique white linen tablecloth has handmade inset lace and square handmade lace medallions. There are two rows of lace that run horizontally across and is fringed at the edges. Along the rows are handmade triangular lace medallions. There are handmade square lace medallions inset in the middle of the tablecloth. The hem appears to be small drawnwork. The tablecloth is in very nice condition especially for the age. it is a very light cream or antique white, not bright. The color does not lend itself toward a more yellow or ecru color.
The lace is in lovely condition with no defects. It has been used and gently washed over the years. I do not see any major stains. I did find one tiny dot near the hem about the size of 1/16 of inch when measuring the tablecloth. It is so tiny and actually may be where a tag was placed at one time.
I believe the tablecloth is from Italy but it does not have any tags .
