Italian Bird Plates. Three vintage Italian hand painted bird plates. All three plates are signed and also have a back stamp of Italy 30 -8 BHS.
I am not sure exactly what bird is on the different plates. I do believe one is a green finch and one may be an oriole. I am not sure if the one with the red crest is a female cardinal or not.
The plates have a small hook that is actually placed in the back of the plate to hang on the wall. Each hook is secured into the plate. One plate does have two small nicks on the side. It almost looks like the glaze did not cover the spot and perhaps it was done in the firing, but not sure. The plate with the spot is the bird with a little blue under the neck and orange on the breast and tip of the tail. Each of the plates are being sold separately.
