A beautiful silver over copper butler's tray. The English silver plate tray has small bun feet and a grape with grapevine relief design pattern around the rim of the tray and the handles. The tray has an elaborate scroll engraved design in the center. It is marked silver over copper, Crescent Silverware Mfg. Company.
The company was founded in 1922 in New York and moved their headquarters to Port Jarvis NY in 1939. In 1977 the company was acquired by Kirk Silver company in 1977.
The lovely tray polishes very beautifully and would make a wonderful wedding bridal gift or a barware gift. It was actually used as a barware tray with a collection of carafes. Any dark spots are from reflections of the chandelier.
