A lovely antique photo frame. The frame is a Victorian frame with decorative metal corners on the outside of the corners and on each inside corner of the frame. The frame is a wooden frame that has been painted gold. The gold color has darkened with age.
The glass in the frame is old glass and is thick which definitely notes that it is old glass.
Someone has made a hand painted mat with an oval cut out for a photo. The design around the oval image is small flowers.
There is a little wear on the frame where some of the plaster has popped off and has been painted over with the gold.
The total image size of the frame is actually 8 x 10 inches. If you choose to use the mat, the oval image size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches.
The frame has a wire on the back to hang on a wall.
Please note, I have taken the glass out to clean it. To put the glass and mat back into the frame I used small framers points that a framer uses. When you put a photo in the frame you will need to use these framers points or small nails.

This would be a beautiful little frame for a child's photo and would compliment a nursery.
The frame would compliment a French country cottage or shabby cottage decor.
