Footed Silver Compote Bowl, Vintage Trophy Silver Large Pedestal Bowl Dated 1972, Reed and Barton Silver Plate, Silver Centerpiece Compote

Beautiful silver footed compote. The footed pedestal bowl was made by Reed and Barton. It is scalloped with a heavy decorative scroll and leaf relief design along the rim and the base of the pedestal. The pedestal has a scalloped design with leaves and shell.
The bottom of the compote is marked Reed and Barton with the number 347.
The only notation of it being some type of trophy is a small medallion in the base of the inner bowl that has a golf insignia The Country Club of Birmingham and below the date 1972 engraved ( see photo 3 and 4).
The compote does not have any other engraving on it.
It is an elegant bowl and would make a lovely centerpiece. The silver polishes beautifully. There is a little sparse line near the medallion in the center, that may polish out. I have not tried to polish it yet.
