Jelba genuine mahogany and sterling bowl. The small shaped bowl almost has an modern ellipitcal shape rather than a perfect oval shape. The sterling base is marked sterling but there is a small indentation as seen in photo 4. It does not prevent the bowl from sitting in a steady position.
The bowl does appear to have had some wear and was repaired at one time. If you look at photos 6 and 8 you can see at the top a slight line. I did not notice it at first but it is definitely a spot that was either repaired or done in the production of the bowl. There is also a little roughness in the wood.
The bowl is marked Jelba, Genuine but the words Mahogany has worn off. This is still a great bowl especially if you like mid century modern decor. It is a perfect size for a desk, chest or bookcase for an accent piece.
I am pricing the bowl accordingly to the wear indicated.
