Japanese artist, Hiroshige, Art Print by Penn Prints New York. The Japanese art print is a mid century reproduction of the painting View 42 by Hiroshige, a Japanese artist from the 18th century. In the early years of his painting he primarily painted women and actors. Around 1831 he began painting landscapes, flora and fauna. known
The print is framed in a small gold toned wood frame. There is a cream border around the image. The image is a series of boats near a dock. The colors are a vibrant blue that has not faded. I was drawn to the print because of the vibrant color.
There is a circular spot on the lower border that is a light stain. Someone could put a mat on the print and it would not be seen. The spot is shown in photo 6. There is also a small ding on the frame but that is expected with the the frame being probably from the 60's. Priced Accordingly.
It would be a lovely accent for a Chinoiserie Asian decor.
