Absolutely beautiful six piece Birmingham Silver Company silver over copper silver service set. The set includes a footed butler's tray, coffee pot, tea pot and a coffee pot with warmer, covered sugar and creamer. All of the pieces are in lovely condition with only minor wear that would be commensurate with age and use. The inside of the tea and coffee pots are in nice condition. I do not see any loss of silver except maybe a little darker in some area around the scroll rim of the tray, but that is normal with years of use and polishing.
The warmer has two very small dings but it does not take away from the piece.
It is a lovely set and unusual to find all the pieces together.
Birmingham Silver Company was originally the Goldfeder Silver company which was founded in 1932. The name changed to Birmingham Silver Company sometime before 1957. It was first located in Brooklyn, NY and then later in Yalesville, Ct.
