Satin Fabric Box, Oval Shaped Satin Dresser Trinket Box, Vintage Shabby Cottage Vanity Box, Mauve Colored Satin Box, Hollywood Regency

Charming oval shaped dresser box. The box is wood covered in a satin mauve colored fabric. It has a gold metallic brocade trim around the top and bottom of the box and around the lip of the lid. The top of the box lifts off, it does not have hinges. The fabric around the base is ruched. The top or lid is cushioned and it appears that someone probably used it as a pin cushion because you can see tiny pin holes ( photo 5). The pin holes may come out with a little steam applied to the top.
The fabric on the inside bottom of the box is worn as you can see in photo 2 and the underside of the top has wear to the fabric. Neither affects the functionality of the box.
I love the color and the old metallic brocade trim. It would be a charming box for a vanity or dresser. You could also use it as a small sewing box to hold notions or buttons.
