Wooden dovetailed box with 6 small compartments. The box is footed and the top lifts off rather than being hinged. The box has dovetail construction. The box appears to have been refinished at some point in time because it does have a varnish on it and the inside looks like it may have been painted a darker color. The inside has 6 small square compartments that can be used to store small items such as paper clips, rubber bands or even small pieces of jewelry
It is a handsome box and would be a great accent piece for a chest or bookcase.
