Art Deco Beaded Purse, Antique Flapper Beaded Handbag with Flower Design, 1920's Beaded Evening Bag,

Antique Art Deco beaded handbag. The little 1920's beaded purse has brass hardware with rope design and a small brass decorative Art Deco embellishment attached to a small ring. The front and back of the purse has a tiny beaded floral design in shades of pink and red. The beads on the purse almost appear to be metallic.
Please note that where the beads are attached to the hardware there has been some of the threading that has come apart is loose. The purse still is intact and will open and close.
The inside was a silk fabric but only traces of the fabric is left. I think this little purse was definitely used a lot during that period. It may also be described as a flapper purse or handbag. During the roaring 20's fashion changed dramatically from the preceding Victorian period. For many the 20's was a time of prosperity and elegance. Floral patterns, beads, and richly colored material were all popular during that period.
I can see how this little bag was loved and used.
