Imperial Glass Butter Dish and Lid, Cosmos Clear Covered Butter Dish, Imperial by Lenox, Clear Pressed Glass with Flowers and Pinwheel,

Imperial Glass covered butter dish. The covered butter has the Imperial Lenox sticker on the inside of the butter dish. The pattern is Cosmos Clear and it features a flower which looks a little like a daisy and a pinwheel.
The dish is in wonderful condition with no chips, cracks, cloudiness or rough places. It looks as if it as never been used and with the sticker still on the base of the dish I do not think it has. Several of the items I have recently listed in my shop come from one estate and I believe several of the items were wedding gifts that were probably just stored and never used.
The base of the butter dish could even be used for a small cheese ball if desired.
I think it is a charming butter dish and perfect for the holidays or even a wedding gift especially with the original sticker on the piece.
Lenox acquired Imperial Glass in the early 70's and produced the products to the mid 80's. I believe this piece is from the late 70's.
