Cast Iron Trivet with brightly painted birds, hearts and brooms. The vintage 60's black iron trivet does not have a maker's mark but does have the number 1 impressed on the back.
The painted love birds are remind me of Pennsylvania Dutch folk art with the hearts. There are two brooms which appear to be hanging on a mantle and a sunburst or star at the top.
It is a charming trivet. I also have a cast iron rooster that is painted in similar fashion. If you are interested in both items please send a request for a savings in shipping and cost.
