Red dovetailed box. A vintage dovetailed box with a lift off lid. The inside of the box is the plain wood. The outside has been painted red. I first thought the box could be a cigar box, but I think it is too large and it appears to never have had any type of applied advertisement paper. It is a plain wood box that was probably used to hold odds and ends such as pencils or other items.
It is a nice size to hold remotes or small collectibles.
The red gives the box a rustic appeal. There is a few places where the red has worn a little on the top.
The inside is very clean and the box appears to be sturdy.
