Reed and Barton dinner forks. The listing is for a set of 3 antique Reed and Barton silver plate dinner forks. The pattern is Unique and was introduced in 1879. The three forks are all monogrammed. The monogram appears to be EEG.
For the age, the forks are in very nice vintage condition with only minor scuffs commensurate with age and use.
There does not appear to be any loss of silver on the front of the forks and maybe a touch of loss on the heel of one of the forks. One fork has a little wear on the embossed design on the front. There is not silver loss, but you can tell it has been polished and rubbed over the years. The fork still polishes nicely.
The pattern exemplifies the Aesthetic movement with an image of 3 flowers and leaves and a bird on the front of the fork. The back of the fork has the image of the three flowers but not the bird.
All three spoons are marked Reed and Barton and there is a number 12 imprinted on the back.
These are very nice antique forks especially if you enjoy mixing and matching antique flatware.
