Sterling Silver Sugar Shell, Jam Jelly Spoon, Antique Towle Sterling Silver, Florence Pattern circa 1889, Wedding Bridal Gift

A beautiful sterling silver sugar shell by Towle Silver Company. The pattern is Florence and was introduced in 1889. The piece has a lovely engraved tool work with a scroll design that encircles the stem and has a flower as part of the design. The bowl is delicately shaped to compliment the design on the handle of the spoon.
The maker's mark is the Towle mark , Sterling, Pat. 1889
This is such a lovely spoon and could be used for jams or jellies also.
I love older sterling patterns especially serving pieces. I think they make wonderful bridal or wedding gifts
