Silver Bread Tray, Vintage Sheridan Silver Plate Oval Bread Bowl, Shallow Bowl Shaped Tray, French Country Cottage Farmhouse Decor

A lovely silver plate bread tray. The vintage oval tray is actually a shallow bowl that was used for bread or crackers. It is was produced by Sheridan silver company probably in the 60's and usually used for teas or parties, especially bridge parties.
The tray is perfect for decorative soaps or to use on a dresser to lay jewelry in if desired, as well as for crackers or cookies for a party.
The bowl or tray has a classic design with a shell shape on either end and a rope braiding along the rim. There is also an engraved scroll pattern in the base of the bowl or tray. The tray does have some minor scuffs commensurate with age and use and is priced accordingly. The minor wear definitely does not take away from the use or functionality of the piece.
