Art Deco Silver Basket, Vintage Silver Plate Rectangular Cake Basket, Bride's Basket, Elaborate Engraved Design, Bun Fee and Twisted Handle

A lovely Art Deco silver basket. The vintage bride's basket or cake basket appears to be a silver plate, but it is not a bright silver. I did polish it with silver cream polish. It is a rectangular oblong shaped basket with a twisted swing handle. The swing handle stays securely. It has an elaborate engraved design in the bowl of the basket. On the each end where the handle attaches there is a raised relief grape pattern with a foliage pattern extending along the side rim of the basket. The basket also has small bun feet. From the design of the engraving and the vintage grape relief pattern I think the basket is probably from the late 30's. The grape design is similar to the old Vintage silver plate flatware with the grape pattern.
It does not have a maker's mark, but it is a lovely unusual basket. I especially like the rectangular shape and the engraved design.
