Lovely Art Nouveau table lamp. The lamp is metal with a marble base and a gray metal body. The decorative metal appears to either be brass or brass plated. It is an old lamp but I have had it rewired. It is in very good working order.
At one time someone had painted the body of the lamp a cream color. I removed the paint and thought the smooth gray metal was so pretty I decided to keep it that way. It does have a marble base. The metal design and shape with the swag embellishments are in the Art Nouveau style. I think the lamp is probably in the time period where the Art Nouveau style flowed into Art Deco. You often found shapes and lines from both periods.
I have a small brass finial on the lamp. The shade that is on the lamp is not original to the lamp. I just used it to photo the lamp. It is actually a little large and has some stains. If you do want the lamp I am happy to send it with the lamp. I would need to add a little for the shipping because the size of the box would have to be larger, but there would be no cost to the shade.
